The display, 'Adornment and Identity: jewellery and costume from Oman',  created to honour 40 years of the reign of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

Rare display of 20th century silver jewellery and traditional costume from Oman explored issues of identity and personal adornment.

Commemorative book, featuring photographs capturing a day-in-the-life of the exhibition, showed visitors enjoying the Adornment and Identity display.

The display attracted the greatest number of visitors to any exhibition held at the British Museum during 2011.
