 UK pavilions at recent Expos in Beijing and Milan have excelled through a single-minded approach, showcasing outstanding UK innovations and discoveries that have transformed the way we live our lives and connect with others.  At Astana Expo 2017, Future Energy, KBW was the lead creative agency responsible for bringing the UK’s latest Nobel prize-winning innovation, Graphene, to world attention.
       
     
 Our source of inspiration was the natural energy of Kazakhstan, and the intellectual prowess of its people.  The participatory and hands-on centrepiece installation was a Graphene-inspired Yurt. Once a tool for nomadic life, Yurts remain the cornerstone of Kazakh identity. They are a benchmark of energy efficiency, innovative thinking and social value, and a clue to the way we need to direct our future.   
       
     
 Almost 500,000 visitors passed through the UK pavilion during the three months of the Expo, which was awarded a silver medal by the BIE organising committee.
